Future is festival that is concentrated on young dance creators or choreographers. Future is not a competition but a festival where young artists can present their creation to analyze and change experiences.
Young dance creators need more possibilities to bring their work into public. If the work is only stuffed into the four walls of dance hall the development is hard to evolve. Future tries to bring those pieces on the stage. Young creators need acknowledgement, but not less important are analyze, encouragement and leading by professionals.
The attention is concentrated to:
· Performances of dance creations
· Analyze - is the most profound part of the festival. All works are commented piece-by-piece by the advisory council of professionals. The authors are encouraged to protect their ideas or way of thinking to promote mutual discussion. The analyzing process is opened for everybody. The advisory council has been works together for two years, in order to follow the process of young dance artists. After two years the team of advisory council is renewed.
· Chat-room - involves discussions about dance… the main subject has been contemporary dance and its essence. It is also the possibility for young dancers to get to know professionals and master course trainers who are involved in this festival.
· Master Course – the three day workshop that ends with final presentation. Master course involves improvisational exercises and other contemporary techniques to develop senses and cognition in mental, physical and spatial level. | | | Future 8 takes place on 24-25th of April, 2010
